This year I made a promise to myself that for every person who messaged me before or on the day of my birthday I would donate 5 dollars to a charity, and since my company does dollar for dollar matching this would mean 10 dollars donated for every well wisher which I wrote about here.
Today at noon I get a notification on Facebook that I’ve been tagged in a post by a friend. My first thought is, oh no what photo blackmail do they have of me now, but instead I find that my friend Vivian has taken on the torch for her own Pay It Forward and for everyone who wished her Happy Birthday this year she pledged the same donation to her charity of choice.
It was a particularly long and tiring day, so this post made me smile especially since she did a similar post with her choice own choice of foodporn birthday dessert.
