While I was planning this adventure I figured as long as I was in Tanzania, I might as well check out a safari since I wasn’t sure if after Kilimanjaro I’d ever make my way back to Africa again. Another reason I wanted to go was that I wasn’t sure what the fuss was about, I mean, going on safari is just real life Pokemon right? (Oh god, did I just say that? I exist in a world where digital experiences precede actual life experiences.)
We visited 3 areas for our safari adventures and spent the night so we could do multiple outings at some of our stops. On the list were:
- Serengeti National Park
- Ngorongoro Crater
- Manyara National Park
We did end up seeing the big 5.
- African elephant
- Black rhinoceros
- Cape buffalo
- African lion
- African leopard
