My favorite thing to do when on vacation is to be taken somewhere unexpectedly nice by a local. The 606 in Chi-town was exactly that.
The 606 is the Chicago equivalent to New York’s High Line, opened on June 6th, 2015. It’s a beautiful 2.7 mile stretch raised park for runners, walkers and cyclists that was built on an old decommissioned railway known as the Bloomingdale Line. Along this easy walking path was a plethora of street art and pretty foliage. Was lucky enough to get to be introduced to this place late last year. The 606 made me wish I had brought my running shoes in tow.
