Food That’s Fast: Watermelon Protein Shake

Another one of my #FTF (Food that is fast) series. In the mornings I generally don’t eat breakfast unless on vacation, but sometimes you just need something to get you going and give you a bit of energy. My recipe for this watermelon protein shake is perfect for mornings or even after an intense workout where you need a protein kick.

Here’s what you need

  • 1.5 cups of watermelon
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 avocado for thickness
  • 1 tbsp rice protein powder
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • Blender or Magic Bullet


  • Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Super easy right? It’s also good for after a workout because of the protein powder.
