KO and met in a park to do our usual yearly ritual of having tea and catching up, but social distance style because of the pandemic. I look down distracted by a dot or red on my black picnic blanket. Grabbing a branch I let the bug craw on and then it takes flight away from my area.
KO: I feel like there were just more ladybugs around when we were young.
Me: I don’t think anything happened to the ladybugs, I feel like we just got too busy with life to see them.
I stare into a patch of grass where 5 other ladybugs sunbathe on blades of grass.
