In my youth my dad never stopped buying me a copy of all the books he enjoyed reading. I admit to reading very few of them, but the one book that did grace my eyes was The Prophet
by Kahlil Gibran. A quote from this book always comes to mind when looking for gifts for others.

This quote combined with the holiday season and a need to get stocking stuffers for my closest girlfriends creates for an interesting mix of gifting possibilities. All year long we partake in the sharing the big moments, engagements, babies, vacations, but what I love about gifting + friendship is getting a chance to share the details, and the discovery of the small things that make my every day special.
Wouldn’t you say that’s a nice compromise Kahlil? ^_^

Haribo Sour Gold-Bears
– The one and only gummibear that I like and my favorite candy of all time has created a sour version? Yes please.
Not really sour but still delish.
Kikkerland Hot/Cold Pack
– Adorable fox and penguin ice packs. After working out with my trainer I kept having to use packs of frozen corn, instead these cute friends help me soothe sore muscles.
Penguins keep you cool.
Bite Beauty Mix N’ Mingle Lip Minis in Honey – I love love love Bite lip cosmetics. Discovered this brand after a makeup artist suggested I try it after a makeover early this year. They have a sleek packaging and make my lips feel moisturized and well protected.
Super soft lips in this cute holiday packaging.
philosophy Purity Made Simple – Lightly fragrant, makes your skin feel clean without stripping the oils, double plus is that it helps remove makeup.
Not too fragrant good for the skin cleanser.
Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
– I love these peanut butter cups. They make me feel like I’m eating something healthier and are super smooth vs the regular kind. Also Costco carries them which means a lazy me can order these via Google Shopping Express.
Isn’t everything organic so much better?
Kikkerland Keychain with Sound
– I carry one of these on my keyring so that I can play a sound that connotes “Oh sad trombone” every time someone is whining or complaining. I also like that they are relatively big so that it helps me fish my keys out of my purse more easily.

Also instead of buying new gift bags decided to do the eco-friendly activity of recycling Banana Republic bags I had been saving. To dress them up I just added a bit of washi tape (Japanese Washi Masking Tape
) to cover over the branding of the bag.
