I had been dying to see this exhibit at the De Young Museum. So when Natascha mentioned she wanted to go, I was completely down. Honestly, all I remember from my youth about Gaultier was that my mom used to rave about it. Little did I know he designed many a costume for Madonna shows and the famous cone bra, not only that he designed the iconic outfits in The Fifth Element. The lines and details of his work are fantastic. Also, something I was very happy to discover was that his designs were so well drawn, but seemed closest to a comic book style drawing. Loved it.
